Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Repeat & Learn application, APIs, Telegram and Discord bot integrations, the Repeat & Learn Cards app, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Vadym Kustov, a sole proprietor established in Germany ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Repeat & Learn is a spaced-repetition learning tool that lets you store knowledge items ("cards"), schedule reviews, optionally deliver cards through Telegram, Discord, or the Repeat & Learn Cards app, and optionally process card content with AI features. If you go a day without reviewing anything, we may also send a study reminder to one of your connected channels, and if you answer part of a batch of cards and then stop, we may send one message telling you how many are left; you can turn both off in your profile. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13). Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscriptions, payments, and plan limits
The Service offers a free plan and paid plans. Each plan defines how much of the Service you may use — how many cards, categories, folders and scheduled tasks you may keep, and how many AI operations (text assistance, "Discover" chat messages, web searches, vocabulary fills) you may run. The limits of each plan are shown on the pricing page in the app.
- Payment providers. Subscriptions purchased on the web are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record for those purchases — your payment contract for them is with Paddle, and they handle billing and applicable taxes. Mobile in-app purchases (when available) are processed by the relevant app store and managed via RevenueCat. Lifetime deals may be redeemed via AppSumo.
- Free trial. A paid plan may be offered with a free trial period (currently 7 days). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it continues automatically as a paid subscription at the price shown at checkout. We remind you before that happens.
- Billing and renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices may change; we will give notice of changes affecting your subscription.
- Lifetime licences. Lifetime deals redeemed via AppSumo are one-time purchases with their own limits. They do not renew and are not billed periodically.
- How limits are counted. Monthly allowances are counted per calendar month in your own timezone, reset at the start of the next month, and do not carry over. Where a plan describes a feature as unlimited, a daily fair-use cap still applies to prevent abuse and protect the service. We do not sell prepaid credits or any other unit of account.
4. Refunds and cancellation
Our full Refund Policy sets this out in detail; the summary below is part of these Terms.
You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to the policies of the relevant payment provider (Paddle for web purchases, or the applicable app store for mobile purchases) together with any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it. A subscription is a digital service supplied over time, not a one-off download, so that right ends only once the service has been supplied in full: if you withdraw while a subscription is still running, you are refunded minus a proportionate amount for the access you have already had. The payment provider acting as Merchant of Record handles the withdrawal process and will tell you how it applies to your purchase.
5. AI features
AI features are optional. When you use them, the relevant text is sent to the AI providers we work with (currently OpenAI, Perplexity, and Google) to generate a result — Section 4 of our Privacy Policy lists which feature uses which provider and what it receives. We use these services under their paid business terms, which do not permit them to train their models on your content. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete — you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it, and you should not submit content to AI features that you are not permitted to share. Which AI features are available to you, and how often you may use them, depends on your plan and on the allowance remaining in the current period (Section 3).
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- upload or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or that you have no right to use;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- abuse the Telegram or Discord integrations, the Cards app, AI features, or any rate limits, or use the Service to send spam;
- resell or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including encrypting it at rest, delivering it through the channels you enable (Telegram, Discord, or the Cards app), and sending it to our AI provider when you use AI features. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, we do not use it to train our own models, and our AI providers are not permitted to train theirs on it (Section 5). You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to it.
8. Intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, and trademarks — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding or software except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers (including Paddle, RevenueCat, AppSumo, OpenAI, Perplexity, Lyceum, Telegram, Discord, Google, and Resend). Your use of those integrations may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that card delivery (including via Telegram, Discord, or push notifications) or AI output will be accurate or timely.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
