Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This page explains how cancellations, withdrawal and refunds work for Repeat & Learn. It is part of our Terms of Service — Section 4 of the Terms says the same thing in short.
1. Who takes your money
Purchases made on the web are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd acting as our Merchant of Record. That means Paddle — not Repeat & Learn — is the seller on your invoice: they charge your card, calculate and remit the applicable VAT or sales tax, and process refunds and chargebacks. Your bank or card statement will show Paddle.
Because of that, a refund is issued through Paddle. You do not have to work out who to ask: write to us (below) and we will start the process, or contact Paddle support directly using the receipt they emailed you.
2. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from the Subscription page inside the app — one click takes you to the cancellation page at Paddle.
Cancelling stops future renewals. It is not a refund: you keep full paid access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and the plan drops to Free only after that date. Your cards, categories and schedules stay in your account.
3. The 7-day trial
Paid plans start with a 7-day trial that requires a valid card. Two days before the trial ends we remind you — by email and in your delivery channel — that the first charge is coming. If you cancel before that date, nothing is charged and there is nothing to refund.
4. Statutory right of withdrawal (EU / UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded — the day you subscribe, not the day you are first charged.
A subscription to Repeat & Learn is a digital service supplied over a period of time, not a one-off download. That difference matters: for a digital service the right of withdrawal does not simply lapse the moment access begins. If you ask for supply to start straight away and confirm that you understand the consequence, the right ends only once the service has been supplied in full — which, while a subscription is still running, has not happened.
So if you withdraw within those 14 days, you get your money back, minus a proportionate amount for the days you already had access. On a yearly plan a few days of access comes to a matter of cents; on a monthly plan it is that share of the month. If you are still in the free trial, nothing has been charged and there is nothing to refund.
Paddle, as Merchant of Record, collects that consent at checkout and runs the withdrawal procedure. You can write to us or to Paddle — either route works, and we will not send you back and forth.
Nothing on this page limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country.
5. Refunds outside the withdrawal period
Beyond the statutory cases above, refunds are at the discretion of Paddle and of us. We look at requests individually and would rather give the payment back than keep money from someone the product did not help. When we do refund, we refund the payment for the current period in full — we do not split one payment into a used and an unused part. Situations where we will normally refund:
- you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same period;
- the Service was substantially unavailable for a significant part of the paid period;
- you bought the wrong plan or the wrong billing period and have barely used it.
We normally will not refund a period that has already been used in full, and we do not refund partial months on cancellation — cancelling simply stops the next renewal.
6. Lifetime deals and app-store purchases
Lifetime deals bought through AppSumo follow AppSumo's own refund policy and are handled by AppSumo. Once AppSumo tells us a licence was refunded or deactivated, the lifetime access ends automatically; the cards you already created stay readable, only creating new ones is limited. Purchases made inside a mobile app store, where available, follow that store's refund rules and are handled by the store, not by us.
7. How to ask
Write to hello@repeatandlearn.com or use the contact form on the Support page. Please include the email address on your account and, if you have it, the Paddle order number from your receipt — it makes the request much faster to check.
We aim to reply within two business days. Once a refund is approved, Paddle issues it to the original payment method; how long it then takes to appear depends on your bank, and usually runs to several business days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this page — for example if we change payment provider. Material changes affecting purchases you have already made will not be applied retroactively.
